In 1983, Mark undertook six years of architectural studies. His Thesis "An Identity for Australian Architecture" saw Mark emerge as a Bachelor of Architecture graduating with Honours. 

 

Mark commenced his career in 1989 working at Thomson Adsett & Partners Architects. In 1993, Mark began to work for the family construction company. In 2005, Mark started Mark Williams Architects with the aim to promote and produce well-considered designs that accurately communicated the client’s requirements to all stakeholders and to reinforce trust and confidence in the design process.

 

Where-ever possible Mark strives to promote and produce environmentally sensitive designs that incorporate passive design solutions, modular and prefabrication to minimise waste while increasing the speed of construction and if possible incorporate reused building materials.
